The SEM1720 dual channel signal conditioner accepts RTD, thermocouple, or potentiometer sensor inputs on two independent channels and provides isolated dual voltage or current outputs. Each output channel can be linked directly to either input sensor, or to a math function combining both — such as average, difference, or sensor redundancy — giving engineers a single device that can perform differential measurement, backup sensor switching, or straightforward dual-channel signal splitting.
User non-linear characterisation lets the output follow a profile that differs from the raw input, and math functions can then be applied on top of the linearised signals for further flexibility. With 5-port isolation to 3.75kV between input, outputs, and supply, and free USB-based Status configuration software that does not require the unit to be wired to power during setup, the SEM1720 is built for demanding temperature measurement applications requiring redundancy or comparison.
