Dual Channel Signal Conditioner SEM1720

The SEM1720 dual channel signal conditioner accepts RTD, thermocouple, or potentiometer sensor inputs on two independent channels and provides isolated dual voltage or current outputs. Each output channel can be linked directly to either input sensor, or to a math function combining both — such as average, difference, or sensor redundancy — giving engineers a single device that can perform differential measurement, backup sensor switching, or straightforward dual-channel signal splitting.

User non-linear characterisation lets the output follow a profile that differs from the raw input, and math functions can then be applied on top of the linearised signals for further flexibility. With 5-port isolation to 3.75kV between input, outputs, and supply, and free USB-based Status configuration software that does not require the unit to be wired to power during setup, the SEM1720 is built for demanding temperature measurement applications requiring redundancy or comparison.

  • Dual Channel Temperature Input — Accepts RTD, thermocouple, or potentiometer sensors on two independent channels.
  • Math Functions — Average, difference, or sensor redundancy switching between the two input channels.
  • Isolated Dual Outputs — Independent voltage or current outputs, each linkable to a sensor or math function.
  • 5-Port Isolation to 3.75kV — High isolation between input, outputs, and supply.
  • User Non-Linear Characterisation — Custom output profiles for non-standard sensor curves, with maths layered on top.
  • Eight Preset Configurations — User-configurable presets for fast reconfiguration between applications.

What sensors can be connected to the SEM1720?

It accepts RTD, thermocouple, or potentiometer sensors on two independent channels.

Can the SEM1720 provide sensor redundancy?

Yes, it supports sensor redundancy switching as one of its math function modes between the two channels.

Can the SEM1720 be used as a signal splitter?

Yes, it can split one input to two isolated voltage or current outputs.

What isolation does the SEM1720 provide?

It provides 5-port isolation to 3.75kV between input, outputs, and supply.
