Machined from solid bar stock rather than fabricated tube, it offers superior structural strength for higher pressure and flow-rate applications than the fabricated Style 2 equivalent, while retaining the convenience of an integral compression gland.
Available with a parallel or tapered stem profile and a wide choice of process thread connections — BSPP, BSPT, or NPT — the Style 3 thermowell is supplied in 316 stainless steel, Alloy C276 (Hastelloy®), Alloy 400 (Monel®), or Alloy 600 (Inconel®). Wake frequency calculations to ASME PTC 19.3 TW-2016 can be provided to confirm suitability for demanding process conditions, alongside optional 3.1 material certificates, pressure testing, and PMI.
