The AVFM 6.1 Area Velocity Flow Meter is a common method for flow measurements, using a submersible ultrasonic sensor to measure level and velocity of flowing liquid. It can be configured with a standard submerged sensor or a non-contacting ultrasonic sensor for highly aerated fluids. The meter can measure forward flow velocity up to 6 m/s and reverse flow up to 1.5 m/s, providing stable readings with continuous flow rate sampling. It is suitable for various applications like influent flow monitoring, wastewater, and irrigation water flow measurement. The meter is easy to configure and provides daily flow reports with total, minimum, maximum, and average flow rates.
Submerged ultrasonic area-velocity flow meter for open channels and pipes
Measures both level and velocity to calculate flow
No flume or weir required — works in partially full or surcharged pipes
Simple calibration: enter pipe diameter or channel dimensions
Optional Modbus RTU output
Automatically computes and displays flow volume
