Germicidal UV-C light delivers a controlled ultraviolet dose that inactivates susceptible microorganisms. Correct performance depends on equipment sizing, lamp output, exposure and the characteristics of the air, surface or liquid being treated.
They cover different water-treatment duties and capacities. Selection should be based on flow rate, water quality, UV transmission, required dose, connection size and the intended residential, commercial or industrial application.
DALY lists SaniRay and SaniLIGHT fixtures for germicidal UV treatment of air and exposed surfaces. Fixture layout and operating controls must be designed for the space and application.
Provide the maximum and normal flow rates, water source, UV transmission or water analysis, target microorganism or treatment objective, pipe connection and available electrical supply.
UV lamps, quartz sleeves and monitoring components require inspection and maintenance in line with the manufacturer instructions. Lamp ageing and sleeve fouling can reduce delivered UV dose, so service intervals should not be skipped.
