About this category

Portable Torches for Safe and Reliable Lighting

This range spans three distinct certification tiers, and the right choice depends on where the torch will be used.ATEX/IECEx Zone 0 intrinsically safe torches -- Nightstick models marked [Zone 0] IS, such as the XPP-5420BA Zone 0 IS Torch, are intrinsically safe permissible for continuous hazardous atmospheres and carry ATEX, IECEx and related international listings -- confirm the exact certificate on each product datasheet before specifying.UL-913 intrinsically safe torches -- Nightstick models marked [UL-913] IS, such as the XPP-5420GX, meet the North American UL 913 intrinsic-safety standard. UL-913 is a different scheme from ATEX/IECEx and does not by itself satisfy a GCC hazardous-area zone requirement -- check with the project certifying authority before substituting one for the other.General-purpose tactical and EDC flashlights -- the Nightstick TAC, USB and Mini-TAC series are handheld and penlights for general field and security use. They do not carry hazardous-area certification and should not be specified for classified Zone 0, Zone 1 or Zone 2 locations.Compare beam distance, runtime, battery/charging type and hands-free mounting on each product page, and always match the torch certificate and marking to the site hazardous-area classification before purchase.
