UV Lamp Selection Guide

It can be very difficult for engineers to identify the correct specification of UV lamp just by looking at the original lamp which is at the end of its life. Often there are no manufacturers markings or they are obscured through wear and tear. Even with the manufacturers part number you are often forced to order an expensive replacement directly from the manufacturer.

To help you overcome this challenge DFT have developed a quick UV Lamp Selection Form. This requires you or your engineer to answer 1 very simple question and take 4 photos. This will enable us to select and provide the correct replacement lamp quickly and efficiently along with price and delivery.

The quickest way to do this is to download our selection form here and follow the procedure below.

  1. Take the lamp out of the cassette and lay it on a flat light coloured surface.
  2. Measure the length of the lamp from base to base (not including pins), see Picture 1
  3. Take a photo of any manufacturer information on the lamp, see Picture 2.
  4. Take a photo of the pins, with a measuring tape in for reference, see Picture 3.
  5. Take a photo of the filament, with a measuring tape in for reference, see Picture 4.
  6. Take photos of any accessories or ancillary equipment you wish us to source for you.

Once this is complete, email the form and the photos directly to service@owenf.xyz
